What Happens At A Final Walkthrough?
A final walkthrough is when all parties have gotten the clear to close and the buyer has an opportunity to walk through the home one more time to confirm that everything is in the same condition it was in the last time they saw it, which is usually during the inspection, or also confirming that everything that should not be there is gone.
What should be is there, things are still working properly from their visual inspection, a walkthrough of the home. Basically, even if there is occupancy, meaning it’s still going to live there after you close, it’s still important for the buyer to have a final walkthrough because once they’ve actually officially purchased a home, they can’t return it.
