What Will Home Interest Rates Be In 2025?

Realtor.com believes that heading into 2025, we’re going to expect to see interest rates to stay above 6% and also for home prices or values to continue to increase. I do believe what they’re saying is true, at least for the first or second quarter of the year.

But after that, I do believe that there’s a good chance things may change due to the hundreds of thousands of employees that have been laid off through various companies and also the economy not being as strong.

Obviously if the economy gets better and other things change, it could stay the same for the rest of the year. But of course, anything can change anytime and nothing is guaranteed. So we’ll have to see.

But the bottom line is, most likely, at least for the first and second quarter of 2025, you will see interest rates stay above 6% and home values continue to increase.
