When Should You Hire A Real Estate Lawyer (Attorney)?
Real Estate Broker Patrice Henderson discusses when home buyers and home sellers should hire a real estate lawyer / attorney for everyday real estate transactions with Shawn Head from Head Murphy Law.
It’s common in Michigan that you’ll definitely want to hire an attorney to help with real estate transactions such as properties that must go through probate court, short sales, etc. but how about when it comes to everyday transactions?
Usually it will be for unique situations but depending on how much protection and knowledge a client wants to have will greatly depend on how often he or she will want to hire an attorney for their real estate transactions.
Some of these scenarios can include when a buyer has purchased a home where the seller has refused to vacate or when the one party refuses to release the earnest money deposit. Check out the full interview to see when it’s really important and how an attorney can make these easier and more efficient for you.
