Can I Put My Spouse On Title But Not On The Mortgage?
Often when spouses are looking to purchase a home, there can be a situation where one of the spouses is actually going to be the one that’s in the financial position to purchase the home.
And so therefore, the other spouse will not be getting preapproved to purchase the home as well. But they both want to be on title. And so there is a way for this to work, but essentially their lender has to be okay with it.
So basically, the person that’s qualified will be responsible for the mortgage, but both of them will actually own the property.
