When you hire your private home inspector to do your inspection on your new home, please be sure this professional is going to give you a thorough and complete and well typed up professional inspection report. Seems like common sense, but ironically, recently I’ve seen a couple inspection reports that have been horribly drafted.
And not only do you need this for yourself so you can fully understand and review what is going on with the home, but you also need this if you’re going to look to negotiate past inspection, whether that’s asking for concessions or getting the seller to pay for some repairs to be completed.
If you don’t have professional inspection report, they may not believe that your inspector was professional, let alone that this work that they’re requesting is sufficient. So please leave a comment below if you have any questions, share with anyone you think it’d be helpful to, and as always, close to Patrice.
