Is A Finished Basement Worth The Investment?
Having a finished basement adds true value to your home, even if you don’t have a walkout basement, a daylight basement, or an egress window in the basement. And this is because when an appraiser looks at your home and they see that the basement is finished versus not, they will equate to it having some form of living space adding more value to your home.
And most buyers are looking for a home that has a finished basement because that’s less work they have to do and it’s more space they can utilize, such as an entertainment area. And so you definitely want to consider having a finished basement if you’re considering selling, because that will add value to your home, not only for the appraiser, but also the buyer’s view.
So you have appraisal value and you have market value. So if you have any questions, please leave a comment below. Be sure if anyone think it’ll be helpful to. And as always, close with Patrice.
