Is It Harmful To Live In A House With Mold?
Real Estate Broker Patrice Henderson of Designed Living Real Estate and Home Inspection company owner Brian Walker of En-Vision Property Inspections discuss the different types of mold, if it’s harmful to live in a house with mold, how to prevent mold and more.
The main thing homeowners should keep in mind that there’s technically mold existing in the air at all times but when areas of the home get wet and they aren’t cleaned up quickly (water is dried up) you can expect mold to become a problem in your home.
Mold requires moisture, a food source and suitable temperature to grow. Opening your windows often can help with both air quality in your home and preventing mold from being a problem.
Not remediating the mold in a home can cause serious health issues so it’s best to whatever possible to prevent mold from occurring in your home in the first place.
