Michigan Housing Market Update : Year-End 2025
Here’s your quick real estate market update as we head to the end of 2025. Interest rates have decreased to about 6. 26% for the average 30-year fixed mortgage, which is great because it helps people be able to afford more of a home with their mortgage payment.
And so that could in turn help with some of these homes that have been sitting on the market for longer or just in general, getting more people interested in buying a home because we were up at the highest, around a little over 7 % in interest rates. So very helpful there.
And then just keeping in mind, next year is probably going to be better and in favor for buyers, just with everything going on with the economy-wise, people losing their jobs and things like that. So if you are thinking about selling your home, especially if you want to buy another home, you probably want to do whatever you can to be ready to sell your home sooner than later so you can retain the equity that you have now and helping you get your next home or just maximizing the value of your home now before it may change later.
And if you are thinking about buying, now is a good time to get started because there are homes that are just sitting there and not getting much traffic at all, which means now is a good time to have the right realtor negotiate for you to get a better deal on those homes. So if you have any questions, please comment below. Please share with anyone think it’ll be helpful to. And as always, close with Patrice.
