Should I Worry About Radon Gas?
Michigan Real Estate Broker, Patrice Henderson interviews Patrick Nolan of Integrity Inspection Group important questions about radon that people should know about when owning and/or buying a home.
Radon mitigation and free ways to hold less radon in your home are a big discussion as well. ” Should I worry about radon gas? ” and ” What would cause radon in a house? ” are some common questions that are answered.
If you aren’t aware of radon, it’s a a radioactive gas that’s colorless, odorless, and tasteless. It’s created by the natural decay of uranium in soil, rock, and water. Radon can seep into the air, where it decays and releases radioactive particles that can damage DNA and cause lung cancer.
So it is important that you don’t have high levels of radon in your home to stay safe. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be possible to have zero levels of radon in a home but you can keep the levels low with a radon mitigation system.
