Should The Laundry Room Be On The First Or Second Floor?

The level that you put your laundry room on makes a major impact in the market value for your home, and it’s dependent mostly on the ideal buyer for your home.

So for example, if your laundry room is in the basement, no one really is looking forward to having to go up and down the stairs no matter what home you’re in to do your laundry.

However, if you’re in a home where it’s ideal for someone that’s downsizing for a certain age, the laundry room being on the first floor is going to be ideal for that situation because at a certain age, you really can’t do any stairs at all.

So your laundry room will allow you on the first floor to do anything you need on the first floor.

And then if you’re in a home that’s in a growing family, then having a second floor is probably ideal because that’s where all your bedrooms are going to be. So no one has to go down any flights of stairs to do through their laundry.
