US Weekly Jobless Claims Drop To 241,000
According to Reuters and CNBC, the US weekly jobless claims unexpectedly fell by 19,000, which means that 19,000 fewer people applied for a new application for unemployment benefits, which sounds to be great news, but as we know, Boeing just laid off 17,000 employees, and other employers continue to lay off thousands of employees as well, which likely means that pretty soon here, the jobless claims will start to tick back up.
And of course, we’ll have to see how this all impacts the real estate market, because if there’s not that many jobs available for people to apply for, and they lose their job, then of course, they may be in a position where they no longer can afford to own their home, they may have to sell their home, or they may not be in a position to buy a home anymore.
So we’ll have to see how it goes. So if you have any questions, please contact us. Please share with anyone that you think it’d be helpful to. And as always, close with Patrice.
